If you haven’t played Coffee Talk or its sequel yet, you’re really missing out. Both games follow the owner/barista of a small coffee shop in an alternate version of Seattle where humans and mythical/paranormal creatures live side by side. They’re really chill games; most of the gameplay follows that of a visual novel, but with a touch more (such as making drinks or returning lost objects). As we’re learning more and more, digital media doesn’t last forever and often isn’t properly preserved – but physical copies fix that. Today, Chorus Worldwide and Serenity Forge have launched four different physical editions of the titles. The best part? Even the standard versions come with goodies!
Each of the below physical editions are available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. They can be found on the Serenity Forge store.
Let’s start with the standard editions. The standard version of Coffee Talk comes with a physical copy of the game, a wooden charm featuring Freya, a nine-sticker sheet, and a coffee cup-themed soundtrack download card. The standard version of Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly includes a physical copy of the game, a wooden charm featuring Riona, an 11-sticker sheet, and a coffee cup-themed soundtrack download card.
Now to get to the really good stuff: the Collector’s Editions!
The Collector’s Edition of Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly includes a physical copy of the game, an acrylic standee with six changeable customers, a double-sided tote, a mini comics collection, a highly stylised tea towel, a wooden charm featuring Riona, a memo pad featuring characters from the game, an 11-sticker sheet, a coffee cup-themed soundtrack download card, and a Collector’s Edition box.
The Collector’s Edition of both titles (shown above in the header) includes a physical copy of each game (so separate discs/carts), an exclusive embroidered patch, and exclusive coffee mug, an acrylic standee with six changeable customers, a double-sided tote, a mini comics collection, a highly stylised tea towel, two wooden charms featuring Freya and Riona, a memo pad featuring characters from the game, a nine-sticker sheet plus an 11-sticker sheet, two coffee cup-themed soundtrack download cards (one for each game), and a Collector’s Edition box.
