Tactics Ogre Reborn all but confirmed

Note: This is just a leak of information regarding Tactics Ogre: Reborn, and there has no official announcement or news from Square Enix itself. As such, you should take this with a grain of salt, however, previous leaks that stemmed from this source have proven to be valid, and it has the substance to suggest it’s a legitimate one. Also, as you’ll see in the Gematsu link below, there are screenshots and everything.

Over a month ago, a PlayStation store page accidentally released information regarding a Tactics Ogre remaster by Square Enix, and we’ve just received even more leaked information regarding it! But let’s first note the origins of this story, further than a decade ago.

12 years ago, in November 2010, Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together was developed and published by Square Enix for the PSP, receiving a wave of positive reviews from both media and players. However, this story doesn’t actually begin in 2010, because a further 15 years back in October 1995 was the ACTUAL original release of Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, on the SNES. However, as strange as it seems for Square Enix to release the same title three separate times, there is wide scope for Square Enix and a development partner to do a lot with it, given the processing power available now compared to the PSP and SNES.

And – unsurprisingly! – the leak does say that with this new remaster, Square Enix is emphasising the addition of improved graphics, sound, and game design.

From what we can gather, the game description clearly outlines its intentions to be released on PlayStation platforms, namely the PS4 and PS5, but many other platforms are up for speculation. For example, many have been convinced of a de facto PC release, on the grounds of the title’s mention in a ‘GeForce Now’ database leak back in 2021, as part of a wave of leaks that were documented on Reddit and largely proven to be true.

But without even an inkling of an official announcement from Square Enix, it’s currently anyone’s guess as to what additional platforms Tactics Ogre: Reborn will be available on, if any. If this project is real, then it is likely that the official announcement is not far away.
