It’s that time of year again! The Christmas countdown is a tradition at Digitally Downloaded. Like the advent calendars filled with a chocolate each day, with our Christmas countdown we highlight a game each day that is perfect to help you get through the silly season.

Christmas is a time for family and friends, so it’s a good time of year to bust out the multiplayer games. It’s typically a time that people get some holidays, so it’s a good time to knock off some of those RPGs from the backlog.

More than anything else, it’s a good time for gaming. So grab a game or two from our little list and have yourself a Merry Christmas!

Day #5: Persona 4: Dancing All Night

Ultimately, Christmas is meant to be a happy time, and as such, playing games that make us happy is perfectly in fitting with the theme.

Persona 4: Dancing All Night makes us (especially Matt) happy. Not only does it have a surprisingly strong narrative for a rhythm game, and some excellent core mechanics that strike the perfect balance between accessibility and long term challenge, but it has some of our favourite characters of all time back for one more adventure.

Especially Matt and his unhealthy fixation on Risette. But it’s okay, it’s Christmas, so we’ll allow him this one. The intervention can come in the New Year.
