Konami announced this week that Game Trailers host Geoff Keighley will be moderating a special Metal Gear retrospective at the king of all gaming cons- PAX Prime.

It’s hard to believe that the tactical espionage action series is 25 years old, isn’t it? Believe it- because this PAX panel will be taking a detailed look back at that quarter century of tranq darts and sleeper holds. Keighley and series creator Hideo Kojima will take show goers through the past, present, and future of this legendary series.

The originator of the stealth-action genre, the METAL GEAR franchise has been around for 25 years since its debut in 1987 in Japan and subsequently in North America. Through the vision of acclaimed game designer and director Hideo Kojima, the award-winning series has been critically beloved and consistently recognized for its original game design combined with a story full of plot twists and intricate human drama.

The one hour “introspective” kicks off at 1pm (PST) on September 1st at the Paramount Theater in Seattle. Better still, it’ll be open to all PAX attendees.
