Sony’s made it official, the PlayStation Vita will launch in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, North America, and Australia/ New Zealand on the 22nd and 23rd of February, 2012.

Only Japan is really getting it early, with a pre-Christmas launch date of the 17th over there.

Prices are as were expected. In Australia and Europe, this means Europe €249.99, Australia from $Au349.95 and New Zealand from $NZ449.95 for the Wi-Fi model, the 3G/Wi-Fi model will retail for €299.99, $AU449.95 and $NZ549.95, respectively.

Sony is claiming 80 games currently in production from first and third party studios including LittleBigPlanet, Wipeout 2048, Resistance: Burning Skies, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed, EA Sports’ FIFA, Activision’s Call of Duty.

But most important is Dynasty Warriors, right?

Good price, good games, good features. We reckon the Vita’s going to be a hit.
