News by Matt S.

I took some time in between frantically throwing things at suitcases to leave a quick note here: I’m heading off to Japan to attend Tokyo Game Show.

In between testing Summer Lesson over and over and over again, I’ll be interviewing a number of veteran Japanese developers for the purposes of the book project, and then attending the show, taking photos and lapping up the atmosphere. Let me know if there are any specific games you’d like for me to test!

And then, because I’m in Japan, I figured I’d hang around for a while, do some tourist things and otherwise having a good old time over there.

I figured it would be fun to do a daily journal thing about where I’ve been and seen on the site, so starting from Thursday, you can expect to see random updates about Japan. They won’t necessarily be gaming related, of course, but I do promise to spend at least some time in Akihabara. In the meantime, if there is anything that you would like to see while I’m over there, let me know and I’ll see what I can do about visiting.

In advance I apologise if the reviews and articles come a little more slowly than normal over the next couple of weeks. Then again, DDNet is in the capable hands of a big team now, so I have no doubt there will be no change to our normal schedule 🙂
