Written By Matt Sainsbury on Friday, March 25, 2011 | 02:00

Sega of America is holding an auction to raise funds to help disaster-stricken Japan.

There's 20 pieces up for grab - some of them quite rare, and will be good value for collectors. 100 per cent of money raised will go to the American Red Cross to support the Japanese aid efforts.

The goods up for grab include:

    * Yakuza track jacket
    * Signed original copy of Valkyria Chronicles for PS3
    * Sonic The Hedgehog 15th Anniversary Statue
    * SEGA Dreamcast Hoodie
    * Yakuza 4 Model Car Kit
    * Sonic Colors Kiosk Station Art
    * Outrun Art signed by SEGA legend Yu Suzuki

The auction is part of a broader charity initiative, called Play For Japan. You can find more info here: http://www.playforjapan.org.

There's not a better way to spend your money right now, so please dig deep for our friends in Japan.
