Watch the opening movie from Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian
Last week, Koei Tecmo and Gust revealed the opening movie for turn-based RPG Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian, which launches in less than two weeks. The game is set in the same world as Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator, but with an original story and new protagonists. The opening movie features the game’s theme song, Corridor of Wish, performed by reche.
Hallfein was a prosperous town thanks to its mining and trade, but after a mysterious tragedy, most of its residents vanished. It becomes a restricted area, and for years, access was forbidden to anyone except investigators. When the restrictions are lifted, plans are in place to restore the town. Rias and Slade return to Hallfein; Rias wants to restore her grandfather’s shop, and Slade hopes to learn about items left to him by his father. Both want to know why everyone vanished. The game features strategic timeline command battles, simple yet deep alchemy synthesis, shop management, and random dungeons.
Developed by Gust and published by Koei Tecmo, Atelier Resleriana: The Red Alchemist & the White Guardian will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch worldwide on September 26 . A PlayStation 4 version will also be available in Japan.
Meet Mega Malamar, a new Mega-Evolved Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Z-A
The Pokémon Company released a video last week that introduces prospective players to Mega Malamar, a Mega Evolution of the Overturning Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. It also revealed details regarding Mega Malamar, whose brain has been enlarged as a result of Mega Evolution. The Dark/Psychic Pokémon is 2.9 m tall and weighs 69.8 kg. Its enhanced psychic power overflows from its body, creating a bright glow. The vivid light further amplifies its hypnotic abilities, resulting in a terrifying power that can freely overwrite the personalities and memories of others.
The Pokémon Company provided more information, stating: Its glowing, undulating tendrils are able to pick up on the feelings of those around it. It prefers battling with efficiency, using its powerful intellect to analyze the situation with levelheadedness as it fights. Mega Malamar views others—even Pokémon Trainers—as its pawns. If it disagrees with an order given to it by a Trainer, it will sometimes respond by hypnotizing them, making this an incredibly difficult Pokémon to interact with.
Developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be released for Switch and Switch 2 on October 16.
