DDNet Magazine Cover

The Dee Dee Zine is a magazine for people who love games, music, film and art from Asia and independent artists. Every month we produce a magazine filled with essays and culture… and this month is jam-packed with interesting stuff to read!

Dee Dee Zine June 2022 Edition

In the June 2022 magazine:

– Haniwa, Japan’s ancient statues, and the role they play in video games.
– Loneliness in Japanese literature – a 100-year trend.
– The most comfortable of all anime genres.
– Games about making art.
– Lessons from making a visual novel.
– So much more!

We also have plenty of puzzles – a crossword to test your knowledge of all things Japan, a sudoku and a nonogram. There’s a comic and story featuring Dee Dee & her friends, as well as a summary of the upcoming games for the month, photography, and quotes from legends of Japanese art.

You can buy a single copy of the magazine from our Payhip store. The store is totally secure, and you get a high-resolution .pdf for download which you can print out, stick on your reading tablet of choice, or otherwise enjoy however you like!

You can save even more by subscribing! If you would like to subscribe to the magazine, you can support us on Patreon here. Patreon backers get the magazine delivered to their inbox every month, and at any amount pledged (so you can be a subscriber for as little as $1/month!).

Thanks as always for your support, and we hope you love the Dee Dee Zine!

Matt S. is the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of DDNet. He's been writing about games for over 20 years, including a book, but is perhaps best-known for being the high priest of the Church of Hatsune Miku.
