Probably the biggest release on Xbox Live this week is a demo, but oh what a demo it is.

The new Steel Battalion game pushes the boundaries of what a Kinect game can be. It’s got motion controls, it uses a controller, it’s a ‘core’ game, it looks great- all together Capcom and From Software’s Steel Battalion looks like it should be a winner. In any event, it’s gonna get more than a few downloads on the free demo.

Beefy expansions to a pair of monster titles, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Forza 4, also drop this week. Both the Content Collection 2 (CoD) and the Porche expansion pack (F4) add a load of new stuff to do in the games.

And don’t overlook the nice little sales on Outland and Beyond Good & Evil HD this week though. Two very good games that, if you didn’t bite on when they were released, might be at a much more palatable price for you now.

On a personal note, I’m having a seriously tough time not buying that Animated Batman costume for my Avatar. Resistance is futile.
