The Dead Rise and Duty Calls on XBL

2 mins read

If you’re a fan of the man who’s covered wars, or shooting everything in sight as an Elite, you’re probably going to like this week’s Xbox Live update. If you don’t care for any of that, there’s always… Sonic the Hedgehog Tees for your avatar.

Obviously, the marquee release this week is the Call of Duty Elite experience. Elite, if you’re not familiar, is a little social media infusion for the CoD line. The whole point is to keep you playing at your skill level to help sharpen those reflexes and evolve in the game world. There are also tournaments and prizes to be won- it’s actually a pretty cool service which you can read on about right here if you so desire.

Since CoD is such a beast, you could have probably figured out for yourself that there’s really nothing else of note for this week. There’s some new Avatar gear and some kind of cool sale items, but that’s about it. If however, you like hacking up zombies as Mr. Frank West, you will find a bunch of DLC packs for his special version of Dead Rising 2.

Probably should have figured Frank wouldn’t be deterred from showing up during Modern Warfare 3’s release, huh?
