Once again it sucks to be Australian since, by the time we actually cover this news, most everyone has seen it, but overnight (for us) Nintendo announced a major new game: Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Set 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild, the game tracks the story of the Great Calamity within Zelda lore. In practice, this means you’ll get to see all the incredible locations of that Hyrule setting before they were destroyed ahead of Breath of the Wild. Many of the beloved characters from Breath of the Wild will be playable for the first time in the game, and otherwise, we can expect the same quality Warriors action that Koei Tecmo has honed into a fine art by now.

Best of all, the game launches quite soon. It will be available on November 20. We do like Nintendo’s new strategy of announcing things out of the blue and then having a rapid ramp until release.
