Katana Kami: A Way of The Samurai Story came out of nowhere. I didn’t realise that Spike Chunsoft was localising it, and going into it, I didn’t really know that much about it.

It will be one of my favourite games of 2020. It represents a take on various Japanese cultural notes and themes that I find absolutely fascinating, and coupled with the gorgeous presentation and fun (not perfect, but fun) combat system, I’ve really enjoyed this one, and find it to be distinctive in a way that means I’ll remember it for quite some time to come.

So in this video I chat about what I like so much about Katana Kami, and why it’s well worth checking out if it has flown right under the radar for you, like it did to me.
