Kemco sure does churn the retro-themed JRPGs out. Sadly, most of them are just not very good, and more closely resemble RPG Maker projects than anything.

Seek Hearts is the new one and… well, it’s actually better. It’s not great, but from the first couple of hours there are merits to this one that put it ahead of many of the other Kemco games.

In this video I discuss the common issues that I have with Kemco titles, and how Seek Hearts manages to take a step beyond.

(Of course Kecmo also produces some really great stuff. Raging Loop, for example. That’s a real top-flight visual novel)
