I love my tactics JRPGs, though I always feel like they’re better off on handheld consoles. It’s the portability of them, plus the fact that so many of my favourites (Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance) have been handheld titles. So I’m very happy to see that Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark is coming to Switch too.

Fell Seal is one of the better new tactics JRPGs that we’ve seen in recent years (our review is here). A classy effort that does some interesting things with both storytelling and development, it’s traditional enough to appeal to the nostalgic, while also being modern enough to hopefully introduce some new people to the genre.

It will land on the Switch on August 14. Just in time for people who are wrapping up Fire Emblem: Three Houses and looking for the next thing to play.
