Danganronpa 3 anime features 12 new characters

Last week’s issue of Famitsu revealed a dozen new characters that will be appearing in the Danganronpa 3 anime that concludes the Hope’s Peak Academy storyline. The characters all belong to Future Foundation, and the magazine teases “How are they connected to Makoto Naegi and company?” The feature also includes illustrations of the main returning characters: Makoto Naeigi, Kyōko Kirigi, Aoi Asahina, Yasuhiro Hagakure, Monokuma, and Monomi. A new promo video for the upcoming anime will be released on Saturday morning.

Roller Coaster Tycoon World is finally ready… kind of

The days have turned into months since it was first announced that Roller Coaster Tycoon World would be delayed (its launch was originally set for December 2015 but was delayed due to player complaints during the Beta). Better the game launches when complete versus a buggy mess that angers everyone who touches it, right? Well, RCTW is still in the pre-release phase, but there has been some movement on Atari’s part: they announces that the game will be available as a pre-release through Steam Early Access beginning March 30. Participants in the Early Access will be able to provide input into the title prior to its full launch. During the Early Access period new features will be released to the game, with the free updates continuing post-launch.

Yakuza 0 coming to North America, Europe early 2017

Sega has announced that Yakuza 0 will be available both digitally and physically in early 2017 for those in North America and Europe. It’s a PlayStation exclusive — no surprises there. Yakuza 0 is the origin story of Kazuma Kiryu (“Dragon”), telling of his rise through the ranks of the Yakuza (members of notorious crime organisations) during the 1980s. Sega promises the game will appeal to newcomers and longtime fans alike, with a story that starts at the beginning for those unfamiliar with the series to date and the option to play as infamous NPC Majima Goro (better knowns as Mad Dog) should please fans. Yakuza 0 will release with Japanese voice-over and English only subtitles.

Square Enix confirms a Western release for Star Ocean 5

A few weeks ago we discussed a new trailer for Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness. Square Enix recently dropped some more information on the game during its Star Log live stream, including the above story trailer and video spotlights for two characters (Fidel and Miki). Miki is already my favourite character; her vibrant pink hair and protectiveness make her stand out immediately. Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness is the fifth game in the series. It will be released in Japan on March 31 for PlayStation 4 and April 28 for the PlayStation 3. Square Enix also announced the game would be coming this summer in North America and Europe on the PlayStation 4, and this release will include both Japanese and English voice tracks. There has been no news regarding a Western PS3 release.

Does any of this news tickle your fancy or make you steaming mad? Let us know in the comments! And meet us again next week for a new edition of Catch-up coffee Monday.
