With its launch expected sometime next month, Nintendo’s first mobile game is slowly picking up steam. First came the announcement, of course. Now it is time for pre-registration, when users can create a My Nintendo account (and later be notified of the game’s launch). If you’re as ready as I am, head here and begin!
Since this is likely your first time visiting this page, you’ll want to click on “Create a Nintendo Account and pre-register.” From there you can use your existing Nintendo Network ID to create a Nintendo Account, or use one of a handful of other ways to register. Once registered, you will be put on the list to be notified when Miitomo is released.
Creating a Nintendo account before Miitomo’s launch has its perks: those who do so will be awarded with Platinum Points to use with the upcoming My Nintendo rewards program that launches alongside the game. Not a whole lot is know about the rewards program yet past it being what Nintendo describes as a “comprehensive service that rewards users for interacting with Nintendo products and services in a variety of ways.” What we do know, however, is that there are two levels of points (Gold and Platinum) and that any Platinum Points earned through pre-registration expire six months after My Nintendo’s launch.
