It’s that time of year again! The Christmas countdown is a tradition at Digitally Downloaded. Like the advent calendars filled with a chocolate each day, with our Christmas countdown we highlight a game each day that is perfect to help you get through the silly season.

Christmas is a time for family and friends, so it’s a good time of year to bust out the multiplayer games. It’s typically a time that people get some holidays, so it’s a good time to knock off some of those RPGs from the backlog.

More than anything else, it’s a good time for gaming. So grab a game or two from our little list and have yourself a Merry Christmas!

 The 24 Games Of Christmas
Day #20: Omega Quintet

(Read our review of the game here)

Omega Quintet is not a “Christmas” game, in that there aren’t any bright reds and greens, there is no Santa Claus, and there are no pine trees covered in decorations.
But then, Christmas is also a time of joy and happiness, and Omega Quintet has that in spades. Thinking back over the past year, we can’t think of a game that is as sugar-high and cheerful as this one, which is what makes it such an ideal Christmas game.
Mind you, this is one you don’t necessarily want to play in front of the family. There are moments that are pure otaku goodness. So let’s call Omega Quintet the happy time for yourself this Christmas
