It’s that time of year again! The Christmas countdown is a tradition at Digitally Downloaded. Like the advent calendars filled with a chocolate each day, with our Christmas countdown we highlight a game each day that is perfect to help you get through the silly season.

Christmas is a time for family and friends, so it’s a good time of year to bust out the multiplayer games. It’s typically a time that people get some holidays, so it’s a good time to knock off some of those RPGs from the backlog.

More than anything else, it’s a good time for gaming. So grab a game or two from our little list and have yourself a Merry Christmas!

 The 24 Games Of Christmas

For many of us, as much as we’d love to kick back with some intense, deep games, we might also find that we just don’t have that much time around Christmas. After all, with all the parties, family functions, gift exchanges and excess alcohol consumption, a lot of the precious holiday could be chewed up before we know it, and then we’re back to work.

For those of us that are limited on time this Christmas, Mini Metro is just perfect. It can be played in short bursts (say, on the way to, or from, a party), is easy to get into, relaxes the mind after all the noise of Christmas has died down and, once you get hooked, you can easily end up playing it for longer sessions than you might have intended. A versatile game for a chaotic time of year.
