The Sunday Screenshot Gallery: The walking simulator edition

Sharing screenshots is fun. In fact, the screenshot feature is in many ways the best feature that has been added in to this generation of consoles. It's fun to share gameplay experiences, amusing anecdotes from the games, a indulge a little of the inner photographer in us.

We've got a special gallery this week! In the past couple of months, the PlayStation 4 has received more than a few "walking simulators" or similar games - narrative heavy experimental games with minimal interactivity. These games can at times be controversial, but we utterly love them, precisely because we like a good story and an immersive environment, and "walking simulators" always supply that.

So this week we've pulled together a gallery of our favourite shots from our favourite "walking simulators." Got some of your own? Share away in the comments! We look forward to seeing them!

The faintest sense of a dystopia is the quickest way to grab my attention. (Ether One)

This is a screenshot. Not a photo. I know. Boggles out minds too. (Everybody's Gone to the Rapture)

I know it's arguably not a walking simulator, but Journey certainly resembles them in many ways. (Journey)

An apocalypse has never looked more beautiful. (Submerged)

My, that's quite a fall to get down there. (The Vanishing of Ethan Carter)

It might not be photorealistic, but the painterly style is still gorgeous. (Ether One)

This game is so beautiful it has me in tears. (Everybody's Gone to the Rapture)

If this isn't the most beautiful bridge in the history of game development I don't know what is. (Journey)

It's worth climbing up the crumbling building when the sunset is this beautiful. (Submerged)

I know it's all haunted and stuff, but I'd still be happy living here to be honest. (The Vanishing of Ethan Carter)
