RPG Maker MV brings the game into the 21st century

Love RPG Maker but hate that the games run at such a low resolution? Yeah, we do too. But those days are over, as it was announced in the latest Weekly Famitsu that RPG Maker MV is coming to PC and Mac! There is currently no release date announced, but here is what we do know:

RPG Maker MV is supposed to be a big improvement upon the series to date. It will have multi-device support, so you can play no matter where you are. Side view battles have been added. There is a significant increase to the limit of database items. When it comes to graphics, the maps are automatically three-layered and all games will run in high resolution.

Perhaps the most interesting new feature is support for both mouse and touch controls. Could we be seeing RPG Maker on our iOS and Android tablets in the near future?
