Information, videos, drawings, websites… there are so many new goodies for Koei Tecmo’s Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence that we won’t be able to show you them all here. But we’re sure going to try! We were super excited to hear that this Nobunaga’s Ambition chapter was coming in English, and even more excited when the trailer was released, so as you can imagine we are just beside ourselves with the cornucopia of new treats upon which to feast.

First, and possible most importantly, is information about how the game will be played. It is the player that decides how to resolve conflicts (it won’t always be with battle). But sometimes battle is a necessity, and when that happens (or if you’re just a battle fiend) the clan in question will strengthen. It is certainly not all about choosing to battle, though – it is important to think through each one, whether you control from afar or prefer micromanagement. When overseeing from overhead, the player can control many simultaneous fights. When micromanaging, strategy includes terrain and weather conditions. Move in even closer to become the Grand Commander and use officer traits and tactics to your advantage.

Koei Tecmo’s Facebook page brings a bounty of new, gorgeous, high-res screenshots. They show off large-scale land battles, fights that span land and sea, characters and more:

Their YouTube channel shows off four new gameplay videos, including this one featuring simultaneous operation gameplay:

And their North American and European Twitter feeds contain vast amounts of character illustrations to be found, our personal favourite being of Naomasa Ii in red and gold armour:

In addition to the vast amount of visual game information released, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence now has an official website for both North America and Europe full of even more information about the upcoming immersive strategy game, as well as links to the respective Twitter and Facebook pages. The game releases in September on PS3, PS4, and PC (Steam).
