Finally we get to see some footage of Sacred 3 in action

Sacred 3’s been a long time coming, but we were finally promised a late 2014 release in an announcement a couple of weeks ago. There was much rejoicing amongst those that enjoyed Sacred 2, but there was little by way of new media to get us really excited.

Now the Diablo-clone-that-many-prefer has its first in-game footage trailer, and I’ve got to say, it looks quite impressive.

The action looks smoother than what we saw in Sacred 2, and the art style and aesthetics are quite impressive. It might not boast the same number of enemies on screen at once as the recently-announced Gauntlet reboot, nor does it have the sheer production values of Diablo 3, but Sacred 2 had other advantages – a truly mammoth world to explore and more quests and dungeons than you could possibly explore in a humane period of time.

I have very high hopes for Sacred 3 indeed. In the meantime, enjoy the trailer!
