Contrast, the rather exceptional indie title from Compulsion Games, has hit a landmark; it has been downloaded one million times by people playing it on PlayStation hardware (PS3 and PS4).

Of course, a big part of that success was due to the fact that it was a launch PSPlus “free” game for all new PlayStation 4 owners, but it’s a massive success for the developer, and proof that PlayStation Plus fulfils a valuable role in helping to raise awareness about a game that otherwise might have slipped under the radar.

To celebrate the success, the game’s gone cheap on both PlayStation consoles. So, if you haven’t picked it up yet, now’s the perfect time to.
