Linux gets a little more gaming love this week as Wargame European Escalation brings the theater of war to the operating system.

Wargame just saw release on the Mac not too long ago and now Eugen Systems RTS has invaded the Steam Linux shop. In a cool little twist, Eugen is offering the Linux version of the game completely free of charge if you already own either of those already existing versions- PC or Mac.

There’s also a new update for the game that allows cross-play between all three platforms. Multiplayer matches of the ‘friendly’ or ranked variety could now pit PC gamer vs Mac player and Linux… uh- user? Whatever terms you want to use, the bottom line is it’s cool.

Wargame European Escalation is available now on Steam- for pretty much whatever platform you’ve got.
