Sony's done a teaser to end all teasers. At a time when the gaming world is looking forward to an announcement of the PlayStation 4, Sony posts this on its blog:
I wouldn't bet against this being a new hardware reveal, personally.
Anyone who doesnt think or maybe that does think the PS4 will be announced feb. 20th should check out my Contest page and submit there guess when the PS4 will be officially announced for a chance to win an awesome prize pack: http://www.ign.com/blogs/riseup44/2013/01/07/beyond-community-contest-guess-when-the-ps4orbis-will-be-announced/ PS D.D. i like how your new style of articles looks
I am very excited about this. The PS3 was the 'winner' for my household in terms of the most played system. 360, Wii, DS all had their places - but I admit that I am looking forward to the PS4 probably the most out of this new batch of systems.
"The WSJ also reports that Sony will try to throw in more "social gaming aspects" in the PS4, focusing more on how people "interact with the machine" than the sheer hardware power of the system."
If this is true then I'm going to say this right now: I called this, ages ago. I wrote extensively how I don't expect Sony to focus on raw specs and how Sony is far more innovative beyond better graphics.
Well, from that quote in the link below, it seems like Sony is focusing more on features than hardware.
That indicates to me that the console itself is relatively limited in spec, likely to keep the costs down. I'm going to put my poker chips down that it's within $50 of the Wii U.
Yeah, from what I understand the PS3 ylod deal was because the disc drive generated too much heat in spinning. Not that I'm a technical expert and I could be very wrong there, lol.
I used to think that - play Crysis 3 on a high-spec PC and it'll blow your mind, haha.
But yeah, expecting a PS2-PS3 style graphics jump is unrealistic. I hope that doesn't disappoint too many people because I really want the PS4 to be a success - it's about time Sony had some positive news.

I just want this on the record. Right again ;-)
The good thing about the PS4 is that the online downloads will be a big deal from the start. No disc = no ylod :-)
any one want to guess on price? cheeper then ps3 i hope although i love my ps3
i would still buy games on disc and the ylod was from overheating but i guess a disc drive could make some heat.
