I don't think this should come as any surprise. Draw Something is the new Angry Birds, and Draw Something will actually fit in nicely with Zynga's existing portfolio.
I guess the only question now is how the game will be updated to include microtransactions.

Never heard of it lol I am so out of tune with iPad stuff.
It's sold something obscene - over 30 million copies already.
It's also a brilliant game - if you have an iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch it's as essential as Angry Birds.
