Magic the Gathering: Duals of the Planeswalkers gets sequel

One of the better multiplayer games that is on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers. Now in 2012 we can expect a sequel.

The unimaginatively-titles Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 promises new game modes, opponents to take on in the single player game and new puzzle challenges.

So so far, so expansion pack. It's not necessarily a bad thing - there isn't much we would want to have changed in the original game, and there does seem to be a significant visual upgrade.

There is a new multiplayer mode too, where two or three people can team up to take on one AI opponent. We imagine those will be tough and require some clever strategies to overcome.

With the continued strength and popularity of the paper card game, it's good to see Magic The Gathering still has some legs in it yet.
